Visible Mending Kit No. 4
Patch your jeans with this simple kit with some basics for visible mending. This kit is perfect if you already have your fabric ready to go and just need thread and stitching accessories.
Inside your kit will be:
• (2) 22-yard skeins of cotton Sashiko thread in Off-White
• (1) 22-yard skein of cotton Sashiko thread in Sky Blue
• (1) 22-yard skein of cotton Sashiko thread in Cobalt
• (1) package of 6 Sashiko needles + threader
• (1) adjustable palm thimble
• (2) needle pullers
• (8) small (3.5" x 3.25") pieces of wash-away Sashiko patterns
The above items are packaged in a 5.25" x 3.5" storage tin that is great for taking with you or simply keeping it all together.
The Sashiko stitching patterns are printed on water soluble adhesive paper. You can use the entire piece or cut away what you need. Stick it where you'll be stitching, stitch the pattern, and then rinse/soak in warm water to dissolve the paper.
