Visible Mending Kit No. 5
Get started with Visible Mending using this simple kit of basic supplies. Kit No. 5 is perfect if you already have fabric for patches or will be reinforcing existing fabric with stitching.
This kit includes:
• (2) 22-yard skeins of cotton Sashiko thread in Off-White
• (2) 22-yard skeins of cotton Sashiko thread in Navy Blue
• (1) package of 6 Sashiko needles + threader
• (1) adjustable ring thimble
• (2) needle pullers
• (8) small (3.5" x 3.25") pieces of wash-away Sashiko patterns
The above items are packaged in a 5.25" x 3.5" storage tin that is great for taking with you or simply keeping it all together.
The Sashiko stitching patterns are printed on water soluble adhesive paper. You can use the entire piece or cut away what you need. Stick it where you'll be stitching, stitch the pattern, and then rinse/soak in warm water to dissolve the paper.
