This little cutie is a Valentine’s gift for a 7-year old girl and it turned out just perfect! Her mom will add some candy and other trinkets and I think she’ll love this adorable pink confection of a bag.

If you want to make a basket for your Valentine, there’s still plenty of time! The pdf sewing pattern for this small fabric basket is available here or here on etsy. It doesn’t take long to make one of these—maybe an hour and a half for your first one. It is a little more challenging than some of my other patterns because it is very small.

The bee print fabric used for this one is going, going, almost totally gone at this point. I’ve had this in my stash for a few years now and have used it quite a bit for making patchwork coasters. The chubby bees are perfect for fussy cutting.

But there is still time to grab some of this for your stash. There is one listing for it on etsy right here. Or check out some of my other favorite bee print fabrics here.
