Sawtooth Star Pincushion PDF Sewing Pattern

$8.00

Sew square pincushions with a classic Sawtooth Star block top in three sizes using this PDF sewing pattern.

These pincushions are fun to sew and at the end you’ll have a useful sewing tool for yourself or to gift.

There are three sizes:

Size 1 is a teeny, tiny, itty bitty cutie of a pincushion. This one is the most challenging to sew, but it turns out adorable. It fits perfectly in this tin to make a “to go” pincushion to pack along to sewing classes and retreats.

Size 2 is more of a standard size pincushion. This one has plenty of room for most people’s pin collection.

Size 3 is a big pincushion with plenty of space for many, many pins...great for those of us who have all sorts of pins for a variety of sewing purposes.

This pattern is a paper and ink friendly 8-pages:
• 6-pages of text and color photo instructions
• 2-pages of pattern pieces.

If you prefer to rotary cut, a measurement chart for the pieces is also included.

The pattern is in PDF format and is available for instant download once your payment is processed.

Intermediate Sewing Pattern: You have sewing experience and can work with very small fabric pieces and sew 1/4" seams.

Approximate Finished Dimensions:
Measurements are from seam to seam and the finished pincushion is slightly larger due to the stuffing. All sizes are 1.25”-1.5” high.
Size 1: 2.5” x 2.5” (64mm x 64mm)
Size 2: 3.5” x 3.5” (89mm x 89mm)
Size 3: 4.5” x 4.5” (114mm x 114mm)

Supplies You Provide:
• cotton fabric scraps
• interfacing scraps (Pellon SF101)
wool stuffing or the stuffing of your choice
fabric marking pen
• 1/4" sewing foot for your machine
• basic sewing notions/tools: machine, scissors, thread, etc.
• optional but helpful: clear ruler, Wonder Clips, point turner
