Basket Bags PDF Sewing Pattern

$10.00

Make basket style storage and carrying bags in 3 sizes using this PDF sewing pattern.

This is a really quick project for those with sewing experience, a wonderful way to bust your stash, and the finished bags are useful for storing all sorts of things.

Besides being super simple to sew and quick to make, these fabric bags are machine washable, fully lined/reversible, fold down fairly flat when not in use, and are durable.

These are not stiff bags, but designed to be floppy so they fit in all sorts of places and also so they can be washed as needed. Depending on the fabric used, they generally must have contents inside to sit upright.

The bottom is not boxed (see photos), but made with a fold in the fabric. This is both super easy and a great thing to know how to do for other sewing projects. If you have my Grocery Bag pattern this is the same type of construction.

The handle is sewn separately to keep pressing to a minimum and make the project quick and easy to complete. It also gives you lots of options for mixing and matching fabrics.

The instructions are for cotton linen blend canvas fabric for the exterior and quilting cotton and muslin for the lining. Denim, medium weight canvas, duck, and other mid-weight fabrics are fine too.

The pattern is in PDF format and is available for instant download once your payment is processed.

The pattern document is a paper & ink friendly 9-pages:
• 6-pages of text and color photo instructions
• 3-pages with pattern pieces for the handles
• Dimensions for mark/cut or rotary cutting the rectangular bag body pieces
