Did you know there are small bags of wool stuffing available right here? This is the stuffing I use for pincushions and stuffed toys and it is really clean wool that is just so nice to work with.

One of my favorite things to stuff with this wool is this bear made with the Teddy Bear Sewing Pattern from Shiny, Happy World. This is my go to fun project for making a cute soft toy. Usually I make them from corduroy and quilting cotton.

It turns out adorable every time and it’s just a fun project! There’s no need to worry about following the lines perfectly, the embroidery for the face is quick and not complicated, and you can use small pieces of your OOP & HTF fabrics for the belly, ears, and hands.

Now about those real life bears…

I’m a bit of a YouTube junkie. It’s quite the rabbit hole of info and entertainment and because I mention bears like this soft toy there are often bear videos in the recommendations. YouTube thinks I like bears a lot and I’ve watched a number of the videos suggested and apparently, yes, I do like bears and bear videos! Here are a few examples of ones I’ve enjoyed watching:

Speaking of rabbit holes, I have two patterns from RabbitHole and they are on my short list of soft toy projects I hope to get to in the future. Stay tuned!
