Early on in my patchwork making experience I figured out that color schemes are one of the easiest ways to make an amazing piece of patchwork from a bunch of different fabrics.
Blues are especially easy to work with and you can’t really go wrong with mixing them up! They just look great together and I think the calmness of the color helps make the blue color theme work.
If you love blue as much as I do, come take a look at three different collections of “tiny” scraps now available in my etsy shop.
The one in the photo at the top is solids, stripes, and minimalistic prints. So basically, no florals in this one. It also has this amazing blue plaid print—yes, it’s quilting cotton with a blue plaid print. It only looks like flannel but it is also kind of soft fabric for woven cotton.
This second collection has some of a floral cotton lawn fabric from Kokka that is just flat out gorgeous. I found this in a little fabric store (no longer in business) in Portland four or five years ago.
I haven’t seen this fabric available online but also haven’t searched very hard to find it. If you are looking for yardage, right click the photo with your mouse and use google lens and maybe some will turn up!
The third collection has several different stripes and also a dainty rose print from Tilda’s Making Memories collection.
