Visible Mending Kit No. 3

Patch up your jeans or fix some of your other beloved clothes or accessories with this kit of visible mending basics.

Inside a storage tin with a convenient clear lid, you’ll find:

• (2) 22-yard skeins of cotton Sashiko thread in Sky Blue
• (1) package of Sashiko needles + threader
• (1) adjustable ring thimble
• (2) needle pullers
• (20) curved safety pins to hold your patches in place
• (1) package with (8) small pieces of Sashiko patterns
• (2) storage tins

The Sashiko patterns are on stick and stitch paper which is water soluble. You can use the entire piece on a patch or cut away a smaller section. These pieces are 3.25" x 3.50 and there are 8 total (2 pieces of 4 different patterns). After stitching the pattern, dissolve the paper under warm running water.

The safety pins, thimble, and needle pullers are in a small storage tin that measures about 2.25" x 2.5". Everything is then placed inside the larger tin that measures about 5.25" x 3.5".

Be gentle with the needle threader. They are delicate because that's the only way they can do what they do. These needles also have large enough eyes that it's not that difficult to thread them without the needle threader.
